luxe chandelier

I’m a horrible person….I know I promised pictures by the end of the week. We’re not done with the apartment and it’s driving me insane. I hope to be done by Thursday after we get our paycheck and do more errands to buy storage boxes. I’ve gone bonkers with organizing everything. Everything is pretty much in groups now but they’re all on the floor waiting to be nicely put away.

Friday was awesome. I was leaving the apartment and by the gate – there were people who worked with the apartment with free drinks/food!!! How crazy is that? I guess they do that every Friday mornings.

Off to dinner at the parents’ then more cleaning tonight – moving all the stuff from the living room to blake’s room since the cleaning carpet people are coming tomorrow.

This is where I live! I should be unpacking but I’m going to the mall to get a few things. The management painted one wall red in the living room. It was orange before, yuck. I can’t wait to bring Coconut home. Mom said he misses us and doesn’t really like my parents. I got a little bit homesick today because after work I saw a business card on my windshield and it was my dad’s business card and he wrote “I love you” on it. I was sad he didn’t come in to ask to see me. Next time he better come in. I’m thinking about having lunch with my mom once a week since she works in the same area.

I can’t wait until Tyler hooks up wireless because I miss using my mac. I HATE PC! :-p

Saturday morning my parents and I went to empty out the storage at U-haul and it took us not long to do that compared to when we stored it. Moving in is easier than moving out. It only took us 2 or 3 hours to do that including putting things away in the kitchen and bedroom. Tyler was really lucky he didn’t have to help, haha! We all went to bed around 10PM that night because we were exhausted. Sunday morning I woke up at 7:30AM and started packing things from the casita into our cars.

We all headed back to the apartment to unload the cars and put together the futon, desk, and clothes. It felt weird saying bye to my parents and not seeing them later that same day. They only live about 25 minutes away. I LOVE the location. We’re literally right next to the mall and many stores! The drive to work is beautiful with beautiful mansions on Camelback Mountain.

Today I met up with Jason after work to go to IKEA and got some stuff for the apartment…especially these cute black stools for the kitchen bar. We are still unpacking SLOWLY. It feels like a hotel here not an apartment since there are always people outside and people swimming. The wall that they paint for us is orange from the previous owners…they’re going to paint it red tomorrow for us. After that – Coconut will finally be here living with us.

The family’s coming on Wednesday mainly because my sister hasn’t seen our apartment yet. Tyler’s brother is moving here in 2 weeks…I didn’t think he was coming that soon. I hope the next 2 weeks will go slow then because it’s great having alone time with Tyler.
