“Skinny” me in 2003

I was going through old pictures for motivation to stay on track of my weight loss journey. I can’t believe I thought I was fat in this picture.

My weight loss journey is going well, slow but steady. It’d be nice to lose 10+ pounds a week like they do on The Biggest Loser.

I’ve changed my eating habits over the past few weeks and I feel much better now in terms of eating better and actually saving money. Since I’m always running late to work I don’t have time to eat breakfast so I take a bag of Chex Wheat or Cherrios and eat on my way to work. I used to go out for lunch almost everyday before but now I haven’t unless I meet up with Jason & Kim for lunch. My lunch usually consists of – yogurt with a banana or lean cuisine.

I refuse to give up Diet Coke… after all I’m a Diet Coke baby! Everyone has an addiction and this is my addiction.

I noticed that the healthy food I enjoy are snacks or fruits/veggies and those are perfect for breakfast or lunch, but when it comes to dinner… we’re not that creative in the kitchen to whip something up that’s healthy. We have plenty of grilled chicken but we need to learn more recipes so we’re not just eating plain grilled chicken for dinner every night.

Tyler and I will have to go to Borders with my laptop and look at some cooking books and type up some recipes.

That is a great idea to hang up skinny pictures of yourself as inspiration. Though.. I have a billion wedding pictures up and those are my “skinny” pictures.. and I still have been a horrible healthy person lately.

That’s a great idea to type up some recipes. Also there are a lot of great food blogs out there with great recipes that they post.

I think you look great now!

I’ll have to look around for the food blogs…so far I’m seeing dessert blogs and that’s not good, haha.

You look great!!

I’m a Mello Yello addict and I refuse to give it up as well. I love it so much that I am contemplating not moving to the city in Florida we had decided on about 2 years ago because they don’t have it.

You are just gorgeous, my dear. It’s true.

Though, I know how it is to want to be the “best you” that you can be. When I look at my “skinny” photos of myself from when I was eighteen, it just makes me grumpy, I think – because at this point I realize that there is no way I’ll ever be that size again. I need to get over it. Heehee.

I think that all of us are in the same place – working hard to find ways to reach our goals! Sounds like your motivation is just awesome, and that is totally inspiring to me. I’ve been getting lazy for the last couple weeks (booo) so, I’m trying to get myself motivated, too.

Please share if you find any yummy recipes!

I love how determined you are! And I’m with you for keeping indulgences here and there. Only mine a chocolate croissants and holy heck, good luck with losing weight eating those. Sheesh!

One of the things that I’ve found really helpful is having a cup of fruit on cereal in the mornings. For the past two years I’ve been having slimfast for breakfast and then when I swapped it out for fruit & cereal I immediately felt better and my metabolism kicked off. Fruit in the morning for the win! =)

Good luck!
