In the Funk!

It takes 50 pictures to finally like this picture of us.

Don’t you hate it when you’re in a funk and cannot figure out exactly why?

I need to snap out of the funk I’ve been in since this morning.

I’m the kind of girl that likes to plan ahead and have an idea of what I want to happen within the next few years. It bothers me not knowing what’s going to happen in the near future now that we’re married, working full-time and going to be homeowners next week.

I realized in order to get out of this funk – I need to create new goals and dreams. I sent my Mom a “OMG I’m in a funk. What am I good at?” e-mail. Mom had some really good ideas. She thinks I should do some side work and put together business cards, do wedding invitations, and other print design work. I think I’ll look into doing this after we move in our new house. I’m excited to see where this will lead me to in terms of discovering myself and my purpose. I jokingly told Amy if this becomes something serious it should be called “Out of Funk Design”.

Maybe in order to get out of this funk.. Tyler needs to find his wedding ring!

Where Did the Ring Go?

Me & Katers over the weekend

We went to Lake Pleasant again over the weekend. This time we came prepared – cooler, food, & floats. My float was rolled up for so long in my parents’ garage that it remained rolled up the entire time.

While we were mingling and relaxing we noticed a dust devil form near us and actually this family’s things, inflatable toys, table, and tent go up in the air. An hour later it happened again on the other side. It was like watching a tornado in a movie. Too bad we were all into watching it and did not take a picture. It’d be easier to just take pictures with our own eyes… a new eye-camera implant coming out 2030! :P

Tyler took his wedding ring off before he took a dip in the lake and placed it in the trunk of my car. Don’t ask why.

Now it’s nowhere to be found.

Poor Tyler was frantically looking for his ring when it was 109 degrees outside. And it was not helping him when I kept asking why he didn’t put it in the glove box. We’re hoping it’s still somewhere in the car and will still keep looking for it.

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
