Hair Disasters
August 19th, 2009 at 3:56 pm . Posted in My Life .
I’ve had many hair disasters that I lost count. One time I dyed my hair 4-5 times in one night because I messed up and refused to stop until it was right. I’m grateful that my hair didn’t fall out. Those times were horrible… I even had to put ketchup in my hair one time!
I told myself I wouldn’t dye my hair again unless I got it professionally done. It’s been more than a year since then.
I got my hair done on Saturday but I didn’t think it was dark enough and my hair looked like salt & pepper to me. So I dyed my hair again the other night. It was just the beginning of another hair disaster.
My hair turned out red!
After doing what I’m so good at…googling what went wrong and what to do. It turns out I wasn’t supposed to use “warm” colors so I went back to the store and got a “cool” brown color.
I’m now happy with the color but when I go for my next haircut in a few months I want to lighten it up.
Have you ever had a hair disaster before? . . . or maybe it’s just me.

It’s NOT just you! 2 years ago, I was really stressed out so I dyed my hair BLACK. AWFUL. Bad memories… bad, bad!
Your hair looks awesome btw… xoxo

You look lovely!
I certainly have had my fair share of hair disasters… always in salons. In fact the hair colour I thought I loved two weeks ago… I desperately and currently hate. I can’t wait for 6 weeks to be up so I can get it fixed. I dare not try and get it fixed now… It may just rebel and fall out. x

Oh HAVE I? YES!!
It was awful. You see I’ve been dying my hair since I was 14 and had yet to have an accident of any kind. Then the night before Neil’s senior prom I dyed my hair…because it needed it and was time. Of course it HAD to happen right before prom, right? I know!!! It turned orange. Like, for serious. Orange. Luckily my hair dresser, or whatever they’re called, was able to fit me in at the butt crack of dawn the very next day. She couldn’t completely fix my hair but it wasn’t orange anymore!

Your hair looks great!! As far as colour goes, I haven’t no. (I know right?!)
I went from my natural colour to highlights. Then to the dark brown I have now. And I just keep touching up my roots (well, my hairdresser does).

I think your hair looks great!
I’ve never dyed my hair, so I’ve never had color disasters. I have had cut disasters, however. My aunt cut my hair when I was in fifth grade, and it was SO short. I hated it.

It IS a miracle your hair didn’t fall out lol. I actually like the color you have now. It’s very pretty and it brightens up your eyes.

I like the darker hair!!! So cute! I had a horrible hair disaster – I dyed my hair black and it was HORRIBLE… I’m so pale and it looked ridiculous! So I bleached my hair twice in one day and it was orange for 3 months… GROSS

Oh wow, this new colour makes your eyes really pop out! Wow, 4-5 times in one night? You are a trooper, I’d probably faint at the horrible smell of the hair dye! I’ve mostly just had haircut disasters, from First Choice Haircutters … not a good place to go, ever! By the way, I found your blog through Ramblings of a Fab Brunette, I’ll definitely visit more often :) Have a great weekend!

Once in high school, my stylist got a little overzealous with the highlights. People were calling me tiger! I had to go get it corrected somewhere else–embarrassing AND expensive!

Oh my gosh, have I ever. I had a friend of a friend cut my hair 1/4″ long on the back and 1/2″ long on the top when I asked for a cut like mandy moore’s shorter cuts…. it was TERRIBLE and took a number of years to grow out lol Scary!

Ugh! Have I ever?! My hair continues to get darker the older I get, a fact I didn’t take into account the last time I tried to dye it blond! It worked out fine when I was in high school and had pretty light hair already, but fairly dark hair, with matching dark eyebrows, did not make for a good combination! Worst part? It was right before Thanksgiving and I was getting ready to visit my family that I hadn’t seen for years!
Your hair is really cute dark – I like it!
I found your blog on the 20sb comments group – I like it! Will stop by again!
