Ending the Month with a Rainbow

March 1st, 2010 at 3:03 pm . Posted in General .

There was a huge crack in the wood frame around our front door. My dad came over and helped Tyler fix it by clamping the wood together while gluing the cracks. We had to leave the front door open for almost 4 hours. It was so windy & cold. 55 degrees is cold for us! But I’m glad this didn’t happen when in the summer when it’s blazing hot and 110 degrees.

We got my Dad a chocolate pie in return for helping us with the door. On our way over to my parents’ house for dinner the sunset was beautiful. Being the sucker I am for beautiful sunsets, I had to pull over and take pictures. Tyler used to roll his eyes at me for doing this all the time but now he’s used to it. He better be!

How could I NOT take a picture of this!?

It seemed like the town all stopped whatever they were doing outside to admire the rainbow. amazing how your mood can change from just seeing a rainbow. It was indeed a perfect way to end the weekend and prepare for March!

“Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.” – Lord Byron

That’s a gorgeous photo, I don’t think I ever seen a rainbow around sunset time. Not that I can recall anyway.

And 55? Are you kidding me, I would LOVE 55 degree :P

What gorgeous photos! I love the double rainbow as well as the pretty sky behind the cactuses!

Yikes — leaving the door open for four hours would be chilly! But you’re right, it’s way better compared to the summer. Ugh 110 degrees! Nooooo. I don’t want to think about it! Stay far, far away summer! I guess I should appreciate the 55 and 65 degree weather we’re having in Fresno before it become blazing hot!

That is the brightest rainbow I’ve ever seen. I still get excited when I see rainbows.
