(tape strips from Pugly Pixel)

I have been getting a lot of emails about the desktop wallpaper and icons that I created. So here I am sharing them with you! It’s been a few months and my desktop still looks the same. It surely has kept me organized! Keep in mind that these wallpapers do not include the folder icons.

Desktop Wallpaper – 2560 x 1440

Desktop Wallpaper – 1600 x 900

Desktop Wallpaper – 1280 x 720

(All these wallpapers include both PSD and JPG files)

Now these are the folder icons! I’m sure there are a few tutorials out there on how to create icons but this is how I did it with my iMac (I don’t know if you can do this for Windows):

Create an icon with Photoshop

  • Save as PNG (transparent background)
  • Download “FastIcns” program
  • Drag the PNG file to the FastIcns box that’s open
  • Save as ‘Resource fork of a file’
  • Installing an icon

  • Right click on the icon
  • Click on “Get Info”
  • You’ll see the icon on the top left corner
  • Copy it by typing Ctrl + C at the same time
  • Close the window
  • Then right click on the folder that you want to replace the icon with
  • Click on “Get Info”
  • Click on it then type Ctrl + P to paste the new icon over the existing icon in the top left corner
  • I hope that makes sense! :) Feel free to download the folder icons that I created. The file also includes the template file (PSD) if you want to create your own icons.

I hope you enjoy these icons & wallpapers! <3
