10 Year Anniversary

April 29, 2011

Tonight at 8:15PM, it will be our 10 year anniversary of being together! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. I feel young but at the same time I feel old if it’s been 10 years already! And who says we can’t have two anniversaries?

We have a special story that we can tell our children some day. That we’re high school sweethearts. We never broke up or took a break. Sure, there were some bumpy rides along the way but not bumpy enough to break up. Even though there may have been some conversations of breaking up a few times but we never did. We even survived a long distance relationship from 11-12th grade. We even survived during the difficult times where people doubted our relationship especially some of our high school friends. Some of them even encouraged us to break up during our long distance relationship. That proved our love was strong enough to keep the bad influences out of our relationship.

We survived all of that and here we are 10 years later! I still look forward to seeing him everyday after work. Even when we fight, we can never stay mad at each other for long. It’s like a fight you have with your siblings where sometimes you forget you’re mad at each other 10 minutes later. We have our moments…of course, we’re not perfect but still very much madly in love!

I’m looking forward to the next 10 years with Tyler….even the pretty children we’ll have in the next few years!

P.S. I think it’s so cool that our 10 year anniversary is on the same day that William & Kate got married!

10 Years of Valentine’s Days Together

February 14, 2011

Today marks the 10th year that Tyler and I have celebrated Valentine’s Day together. We have definitely gone through so much together and I’m just glad to still be very much in love with him.

I was looking back at photos of me and Tyler together and came across this photo booth style picture of us together. It was taken back in college (2005) when I begged Tyler to take pictures with me. It was cheesy but I’m glad to have thousands of pictures of us together!

We’re not big on celebrating when it comes to Valentine’s Day. We do leave each other small messages and exchange Valentine’s Day cards. Sometimes we go out for dinner but I’m not sure exactly yet if we will tonight.

As I was driving in to work today, I saw more than 10 hot air balloons in the sky again just like last year. Love is definitely in the air today! I just love seeing red & pink everywhere…even just about all the ladies in the office are wearing red.

I’m looking forward to celebrating many more Valentine’s Days with Tyler even if it’s just having dinner at home and exchanging homemade cards.

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day with the ones you love!

Warning: A Cheesy & Lovey-Dovey Romantic Post

February 14, 2010

Tyler is the best husband I could ever ask for!

Yesterday I came down with the cold and was feeling fine until it really hit me hard last night when I got drowsy. I tossed and turned all night and basically stayed in bed until 3PM today. I kept apologizing to Tyler that I ruined Valentine’s Day even though we didn’t really have any plans other than to run some errands.

Tyler went to the store to get some groceries for lunch & dinner. He woke me up and suggested I move into the family room where it was colder. It gets hot in our bedroom during the day because of the sun (we really should get sunscreens soon). I came out and saw he got me a card & roses! At that moment I did feel a little bit better and especially after we ate chicken sandwiches.

I knew I probably would feel better if I showered and cleaned up. Also I didn’t want Tyler have to see an ugly & sick wife all day long. I did feel better as long as I didn’t move around too much. Sometimes the best Valentine’s Day gift is just lounging around the house together watching movies.

We saw more than 10 hot air balloons in the sky today and it was beautiful as the sun was setting. Love was in the air today for sure!

Even our furries got some love today! It is a reminder that we should also be pouring our love for everyone we love everyday… not just on Valentine’s Day.
