Cupcake Date

Amy and I had a cupcake date last night. YUMM.. This “Ooey Gooey” cupcake by Tammie Coe is so special. The frosting is so thick & cold – delicious! This cannot be eaten without making facial expressions. We have decided that this was our last cupcake date until we reach our weight goal.

Tyler’s been losing weight…rapidly. He works outside and sweats so much that he needs wipers to keep the sweat off his eyelids. He also chugs down a lot of water everyday. Amy and I are now on the “Tyler’s Diet” and to sweat – we’ll do that at the gym. No problem, right? At least we have each other for support.

I’m excited for Monsoon season. Last night it was cloudy but didn’t rain up in Paradise Valley, only South Phoenix. We’re going up to Lake Pleasant tomorrow and it’s supposed to be 108 degrees!

tyler

Tyler, my hubby!

Am I the only one that feels like there’s never enough time to relax, do something, enjoy each other’s company, and all that jazz in one night after work? It drives me crazy and I noticed that I’m always staying up late because I’m not ready for the day to be over with.

I love having our “end of the day” conversations when Tyler’s ready to go to bed. He whines that it’s already late and needs his sleep and reminds me that he has to get up earlier than I have to. It was nice having Tyler computer-free for 2 weeks since it was in Amy’s room and never just had the time to move it and hook it up to the Internet…until yesterday. He set up his computer on our TV stand (the 2nd bottom shelf). He’s weird like that… laying on the floor with his mouse and playing on the computer.

Amy, Tyler and I have a nightly tradition of playing a card game called Idiot. Probably a bad idea to play right before going to bed because we all get pumped up trying to beat each other! I miss being a carefree kid running around in the backyard through the sprinklers and slipping all over the place and getting hundreds of bruises. Swimming all day until my fingers are way too wrinkly and eyes are tired from keeping them open underwater. I used to buy one jawbreaker that would last me the entire Summer and make my tongue colorful!

Me & Amy – After BBQ & Pool

I really liked this one house we saw last night but our Realtor knew everyone else was going to like it too and would offer more than the listed price. At this point I’m becoming frustrated because we have been talking about another option – moving in with my parents (again). Don’t get me wrong – I love my family. Nothing is set in stone yet but it seems like we will though. It’ll definitely be easier to look for a house (the right one!) while living in the area and not having a time line. Also we’ll be saving tons of money which I am looking forward to doing that.

Bryan finally moved here and we got together today and played cards outside by the pool and BBQed dinner then went for a night swim. The sky was beautiful tonight especially when floating in the pool. Summer is now beginning…. and I’m looking forward to monsoon season!

Shhh, but I caved in and bought an iPhone (again). I absolutely love it and am not returning it this time. I’m actually afraid to bring my iPhone to work and be distracted by it. iPhone lovers, do let me know what free apps I should add!
