Amazing Amy, the chinnychin!

Amy wants me to blog about how amazing she is! I remember when I first saw her. She was living on the same floor as Ty. Ty obviously met her because when I went to his room to see him I saw all these girls including Amy were acting girly and screaming “Hey!” to Ty. Of course I got a little bit defensive and didn’t bother with them. Later on, she started dating my friend and so I tried getting to know her but she was really shy. Summer went by and as we were coming back to school, Amy and I started talking on pager as we were roadtripping back to school. Ty and I were moving into an apartment on campus with her boyfriend so we met at the mattress place. After that, we got to know each other since she was practically living with us. We then joined a sorority together and became neighbors off campus the next year. We would talk almost everyday about anything from pathetic to amazing stuff! Shopping is what we liked to do….trips to Wallyworld (Walmart), Target, and the grocery store. We always raced home and would flip each other off. Insulting each other was our thing and we knew not to take each other seriously. Abusing each other is another thing…she came to Phoenix to surprise me and when I first saw her…I slapped her. Friends like that are amazing. I love my girls and I’m excited that I’ll be seeing them next month for the wedding.

That’s another thing….I’m kind of freaking out that the wedding is actually NEXT month!? I’m so used to saying November.

Life moves, sometimes imaginably fast!

I bet no one else gets really excited like Amy and I do with our brand new spankin’ pens! If you do, fess up!

When I was a little girl I always enjoyed filling out receipt tickets with friends for companies that we pretended to work for – daycare, vet, and a drive thru restaurant. Everytime I went to my Grandma & Grandpa’s they wanted to take me out and asked where I wanted to go – the drugstore!!! I wanted pens, markers, working-items, and so on. One of my friends’ parents owned a chinese restaurant and would have an extra cash register and OMG, I loved playing with that thing!!

“I once pretended to breastfeed my doll!” – marlene, a friend

The things we do when we’re kids! I thought I had worse….my friend and I pretended our daycare was on fire and we pretended to carry out kids out of the attic to a table in the garage and do CPR…we were practically doing CPR on the table with the garage door wide open to our neighbors and anyone who drove by!

The reason why I love my job is because I have spankin’ nice pens, clipboard, and any office supplies I need I can get from the workroom. I get to write and sign papers in a big folder like you normally see at the doctor’s office. I put all that pretending stuff when I was little to a good use now!

Amy’s Surprise Visit!

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Wow, it’s been a while since I blogged. Last week Tyler and I went to a bar to meet up with Jason, Brian & Catie but as we were entering the bar I saw Jason running up to me and looked like he was up to something. As I walked in, there was Amy standing right there grinning at me! I was so surprised that I slapped her, lol (it’s our thing!). Later the boys told us that some people at the bar thought we were about to fight, haha. Amy made it seem like Austin is only 2 hours away instead of 14 hours. Earlier that day I was telling the girls (Amy, Nicole & Megan) that I missed them and too bad we couldn’t be together having lunch or something and Amy’s here!!??

Friday night we went to a bar in Tempe. I love the people in Arizona – they’re so friendly! I think we’ve convinced Amy to move here after she finishes school…but I think she should move now. :-P

Saturday night we went out to dinner and came back to our apartment to hang out & drink. Beer-cookie dough does not taste good at all. Enough said. The boys actually cooked them and ate them like pancakes with syrup. Disgusting!

This week I have been so busy with finalizing the wording/font for the invitations so I can get them printed out hopefully on Friday. This weekend Tyler and I will be baby/house/pet-sitting at my parents’ house while they go to Tucson for their anniversary. Hopefully it won’t be too boring this weekend.
