As many as you know, Brent (my brother-in-law), has stage IV brain cancer. He is currently doing intense chemotherapy treatment in Seattle for the next 8 months. He has a really bad rash on his body from the treatment which doesn’t look too good at all. We’ll get through this one day at a time!

Brent’s work company, RadioPopper, is doing a fundraiser for him. They videotaped Brent explaining his story and included a short video of Brent’s funny outtakes.

RadioPopper exists to design the most reliable and versatile lighting control products for photographers worldwide. So they are hosting a workshop in Portland, Oregon where the proceeds will go to Brent’s medical bills. For those of you who are interested but not able to attend the workshop can buy the DVD for $99.

The family is very grateful for all the donations we have received ever since we found out. Brent’s family & friends will be doing the brain cancer walk with him in Seattle this Saturday. It’s unfortunate that Tyler and I won’t be there to do it with them. But Tyler and I have plans to do a car wash after the weather cools down a little bit.

Tyler’s brother, Brent, who has brain cancer has just completed his last radiation treatment!

He’s on vacation for 2 weeks before he starts his next round of intense chemotherapy treatment in Seattle for the next 8 months. This means he was accepted into the clinical trial so the treatment will be covered!

The family is taking advantage of this vacation time to drive down to California and have some fun since Brent deserves it. We have some family in California and will be staying with them in San Diego.

Tyler and I leave very early Wednesday morning to meet his family there. Our time will be spent together as a family and go to the Zoo and maybe Sea World too. It actually depends on how Brent’s feeling and if he’s up for it. It’ll be fun being with the family anyways!

I’m excited to put my iPad to a good use on the road trip with movies & magazines downloaded, haha.

• I’ve had a nasty cold and cough then I woke up one morning with pink eye. I went to the doctor’s and did some tests. It turns out my white cells are really low. So I have to go back in 2 weeks to get my blood drawn again to make sure I still don’t have an infection. This explains why I’m still sick & Tyler got the pink eye from me. Oops!
• The positive thing out of all this? I’m still losing weight! I’ve lost 11 pounds. I don’t care if I didn’t reach my goal of losing 20 pounds in 3 weeks. At least I’m losing weight! However the gym is on hold for now until we’re both 100% healthy again. I’m hoping to be back in the gym next week though.
• Great news about my brother-in-law who has brain cancer, he was recently accepted into the phase II clinical trial! University of Washington will be covering the costs of the treatment. At least we know that we are doing everything possible to prolong his life! He will start treatments in September where they will travel every 2 weeks for the following 8 months since they live 2 hours south of Seattle. One day at a time!
• Today is Brent’s Birthday!! I think the best gift for his Birthday would be donating at least $1.00 for his medical bills.
