I hope this post finds you all safe, cozy & bundled up celebrating with your loved ones, families & friends!

I have been busy the past few days baking Christmas cookies & doing my last minute shopping. I never want to go shopping right before Christmas again!

We’ll be celebrating at my parents’ house tonight by having crab casserole for dinner & decorating cookies for Santa Claus! I still have a few more presents to wrap today & I wish I never found that receipt in my car yesterday…… so now I know of one gift that Tyler’s getting me.

Better keep an eye on where Santa Claus is and make sure you leave him some cookies & milk! Merry Christmas!

We got our Christmas lights up on Black Friday – we were practically the first one on the street. A trip to Home Depot was made and we avoided the icicles! So many people in Arizona have icicles up on their houses and the majority of them are white. My parents are guilty of this but I forgive them since they got some red and green lights on their bushes too. It’s exciting to see colorful decorations instead of just all white.

We had to go to three(!!!) different stores to find some magic clips to hold our lights up since our roof is Spanish style. These clips we found made our lives easier & we were able to get our lights up in minutes… of course after my dad brought the ladder over since we don’t have one. Another thing to add to our list of things we need. (That list is getting LONG!)

P.S. I still haven’t forgot about the “pictures of my life” post. I will get to it possibly this weekend. There is still time left to go over and comment if you haven’t done so!

I’m Pumped for Christmas!

This weekend I’ve been getting into the Holiday spirit! Saturday night we celebrated my Mom’s Birthday and went to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony where we live. Apparently it is a big deal since it’s the tallest real animated tree in Arizona. Tyler and I had to laugh at the people we saw bundled up in their coats, wearing hats, & UGG boots. It was chilly but not that cold! I remember the brutal snowy days in New York and how I wanted to cry because my ears hurt from the strong painful wind! I’m so glad we don’t have that weather here but I do miss bundling up sometimes. We’ll have to make a trip up to snowy Flagstaff later in January.

I stayed up Saturday night designing our Christmas cards. I hope to get them mailed our next week and if I do, that will be so amazing since I’m such a procrastinator when it comes to mail.

I have to admit that I’m one of those people who decorate early. After emptying the box with decorations, I realized that we don’t have a lot of decorations for a house. We had enough for an apartment. Tyler thought I was insane when I asked him to pretty please bring the Christmas tree in from the garage. I’ll keep begging him everyday this week… and hopefully he’ll cave in. I’ve always wanted a Christmas tree up at least for Thanksgiving.

I’m so glad I have 2 and half days of work this week!
