Slowly saying goodbye to LiveJournal

Friday, May 9th, 2008

LiveJournal has a friends page where you can read all their entries on one page. Now everyone is starting to blog on their own website using blogging services: WordPress and so on.

Google Reader is awesome! You can add your friends’ websites instead of going to each website daily to see if they updated or not. Google Reader will do the work for you! You can also add the widget from Google Reader so it will go to your Google homepage.

Anyways…today did not start off good for me. I had to go to the library to get some books for a paper that is due next week. (I hate going to the library…just do) I got my books and as soon as I was going to check out, I couldn’t find my ID. I knew I brought it in with me…and it was nowhere to be found. I had to put my books on hold and go back to my car to get my purse. I went to the office again and I saw the same woman who gave me my ID the other day. She said I had to pay $5.00…probably saw how blonde and irreponsible I am. I probably broke a record of losing my ID after TWO days. I got my books and was heading out to the car when someone almost hit me. I texted Nicole and told her I was going home to stay away from the world because obviously everything is going wrong!

Off to a BBQ with my lovely Tri-Sigma sisters then to a surprise Birthday party for a while.

Hello Neighborhood Crime Watch?!

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

I had a hard time waking up this morning to pull myself to class that I’ve skipped a lot recently. After that, I went to the office to get a new ID because I lost it yesterday. Normally we have to pay $5.00 to get a new ID, and I was ready to throw a fight about how silly it would be for me to pay $5.00 for a ID that I only need for the next two weeks until I graduate. So I walked up to the window and I start explaining that I lost my ID and I’m graduating in two weeks……before I could finish she said sure and got me a new ID just like that! Sweet!

As I got home today there was a car with a broken window and I didn’t know if someone recently broke in or it happened before. As I approached the car, I saw there were cash lying around on the seat. I immediately thought it was a trap, haha. $1.50 who would take it? This neighborhood is nice but the cars keep getting broken into. My car here got broken in TWO times. One – stole my ipod and plugs. Two – stole my car battery while I was gone for 4 weeks.

Off to finish the things I listed on my post-it!

The Crispness of the Air

Friday, April 18th, 2008

I love the weather we’ve been having lately. It’s warm when the sun’s beaming on us and it’s not humid………yet. Today was beautiful and smelled good. I love the BBQ and spring/outside smell especially at dusk. I wish we could be in the 50s where the girls frolicked outside while the guys came and picked them up to go stargazing and to the drive-in diners to hang out. Technology has definitely changed us. I often wonder if there were drive-in diners everywhere that was open until late…would teenagers and college kids go and hang out there? or still go to parties and get wasted? Anyways, Tyler and I agreed one night we will go out somewhere and lay in the back of his truck and stargaze together.
