Potential House…O Pretty Please!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

After deciding to move back in with my parents for a few months so we’re not rushed in our house search, our realtor e-mailed us saying that the house we originally put an offer in last month is available now. Apparently the buyer that outbid us backed out. I’m really hoping that no one else knows that the house is back on the market since the websites say it has been sold. The nice thing is that our realtor’s wife is the listing agent for that house.

We’re really hoping we get this 4 bedroom cozy house that has a nice view of the mountains and a nice yard for our “future pool” someday. Tyler and I agreed that if we don’t get this house then we’ll proceed with plans to move back in with my parents for a few months. I’m anxiously checking my e-mails and iPhone to see if our realtor e-mailed me. It’s driving me crazy because I’m already thinking of what color to paint the walls and where to put this and that. At the same time I’m trying not to think about it or think we’ll get it because I have a theory that if I think I won’t get it… then I’ll actually get it!

Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Yummy Cupcakes!

Saturday morning my parents and I went to empty out the storage at U-haul and it took us not long to do that compared to when we stored it. Moving in is easier than moving out. It only took us 2 or 3 hours to do that including putting things away in the kitchen and bedroom. Tyler was really lucky he didn’t have to help, haha! We all went to bed around 10PM that night because we were exhausted. Sunday morning I woke up at 7:30AM and started packing things from the casita into our cars.

We all headed back to the apartment to unload the cars and put together the futon, desk, and clothes. It felt weird saying bye to my parents and not seeing them later that same day. They only live about 25 minutes away. I LOVE the location. We’re literally right next to the mall and many stores! The drive to work is beautiful with beautiful mansions on Camelback Mountain.

Today I met up with Jason after work to go to IKEA and got some stuff for the apartment…especially these cute black stools for the kitchen bar. We are still unpacking SLOWLY. It feels like a hotel here not an apartment since there are always people outside and people swimming. The wall that they paint for us is orange from the previous owners…they’re going to paint it red tomorrow for us. After that – Coconut will finally be here living with us.

The family’s coming on Wednesday mainly because my sister hasn’t seen our apartment yet. Tyler’s brother is moving here in 2 weeks…I didn’t think he was coming that soon. I hope the next 2 weeks will go slow then because it’s great having alone time with Tyler.

I promise pictures by the end of this week. I’m addicted to Ooey Gooey cupcakes by Tammy Coe! Thanks to Jason, haha.

Keys to #5311

Today I picked up the keys after work! Tyler wanted to see the apartment since he hasn’t and has work tomorrow so we thought we’d pack up as much as we can with my car and mom’s and head over while it’s a bit cooler tonight. It was HELL though and I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like tomorrow……..WORSE. We live RIGHT by the pool so I’m definitely going swimming afterwards. Jason is sweet enough to come and help unpack.

I LOVE the fact that the gym and pool is open 24 hours. #*$(&#%! Mom and I called APS (electricity) last night and the lady tried looking up the previous owner’s bill to see how much it was monthly and it turns out that the apartment has been vacant for 12 months…makes me wonder what’s wrong with the apartment or if someone was bloody murdered. Yes, I know I think too much! Another thing I’m wondering about is that I looked up the apartment on apartmentratings.com and a lot of people complained about the staff being inconsiderate and rude but that was from before April of this year. The staff has been really nice to me but I don’t know if that is just because they want me to move there. The gal who works there and helped me with getting my apartment actually lives there too. I think all the staff does anyways.

Anyways…off to bed for a hellish day tomorrow in the heat. :( Pictures coming soon after we get settled in the apartment (Monday the latest…I HOPE).
